This is going to be able to hold up to four different bikes with three different tie down points per bike. You're going to have two here up top and an anti sway cradle at the bottom, and what that's going to do, it's going to limit that bike to bike contact that you get when you're going down the road.It is fairly simple to take this bike out of the rack and all you got to do is take these cam buckle type straps, press in that tab and fish them through. As you can see, there is a rubber coating on the inside of these straps along with a soft rubber insert. With these little grooves, which is going to leave space for your bike cables just so they're not smashing up against your frame. more

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Rocky Mounts split rail LS3, on our 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan.So this is going to be able to hold up to three bikes with no frame contact.One thing to note, you can take this last, this third one out here off, and that's going to make it a 60 pound weight capacity. So if you have some e-bikes that you want to haul, just take this back one off with these two bolts and you can haul your e-bikes just as easy.So it does allow you to tilt with the bike installed. So all you really have to do is grab this blue lever down here, pull that, and it is going to tilt down. We are on a flat surface here. So with our Dodge Caravan, if we were, if we had a little bit higher elevation behind us, we might have a little bit of clearance issue right here. more

Hey guys it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2013 Ram 2500 and we're going to be doing a test fit to show you how the Yakima HangOver is going to interact with it. This bike rack is going to be meant for your larger mountain bikes like we have here and those downhill bikes. It's going to hold it by the fork at the top and by the tire here at the bottom. So our bracket here on the top is going to hold between our forks. So with this triangular design it's going to force itself up between the two forks, keeping that front wheel from moving side to side. more

Hollywood Racks RV and Camper Bike Racks Review - 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks sport rider SE2 for electric bikes. Now though it may look like a standard bike rack, it's not. It's actually built a lot more heavy duty. It features welded gussets underneath the wheel cradles to support that extra weight. It'll actually hold two electric bikes with up to 80 pounds per bike. So again, very heavy duty.Now it does support our bikes just like pretty much any other platform style biker out there. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Dodge Durango- Video
Hey guys. Today, we have chosen a '16 Dodge Durango and we're going to test out the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider 2-Bike Platform Rack.Now, this is going to be able to haul of the two bikes to and from the trails. It's going to have a great way of securing your bike that's kind of, it's more secure in my opinion than a lot of other bike racks out there. You can see as I'm shaking it, it's just not really moving independently from the bike rack.Our first two points of contact are going to be down here on these hook and loop straps to securing the wheels into their wheel case but really what's securing the bike most is this padded frame hook putting downward force on top of the bike, forcing it down into it's trays. It's got that nice rubber padding that's going to help protect it from, protect your bike frame from any type of scratches or abrasions.Now, let's go ahead and take the bike off and take a closer look. It's pretty easy. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Hey guys. Today we have 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan, and we're going to do a test of the Inno Vertical Four Bike Hanging Style Rack. Now Inno's kind of come up with a unique design on this bike rack. Rather than having two of the support bars be parallel to the ground, kind of right here, they're going to have two vertical bars that go up and down and grip your bike in a different way. This kind of helps out with spacing of bikes, you can kind of compact them more, so you're not adding as much length to the back of your vehicle.How it will hold your bike, we're going to have this top cradle, it's kind of wedged up between the junction of the top tube right here and the down tube, just wedged up in there. You can see we just pull it down and we strap it down with this ratchet strap and it secures it. more

Hey guys. Today we have our 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan, and we're gonna do a test fit on the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 Bike Platform Rack.Now it's gonna be a hitch-mounted bike rack. It's gonna allow you to carry up to four bikes to and from the trails, or wherever else you wanna take them.Now one thing I wanna point out right away is that the bikes do sit a bit slanted on the bike rack. You can see it's kind of angled, kinda leaning towards the vehicle. It does that because the rack itself is angled up for increased ground clearance. So it's a nice feature they added so you're not gonna have to worry too much about ground clearance.Now the bike's held in at three different points of contact. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're gonna be test fitting the Swagman E-Spec 2-Electric Bike Platform Rack and that's gonna be part number S64689. As you can see, we do have a bike installed so let's take a look at some of the features.Now, like I said, this is an electric bike platform rack so it has the ability to carry up to two electric bikes weighing up to 70 pounds each. So that's a pretty neat feature about it. If we come in here, we see we have these little cradles that don't pivot back and forth, however, if you loosen 'em like this, you can adjust 'em back and forth and accommodate any length bike you might have. Each cradle is gonna come with a rubber strap and a rubber protector to protect the frame of your wheel.And if we come over and see how our bike is secured, we're gonna have three different points of contact. We're gonna have this strap with this rubber protector in there to protect the frame of our wheel. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're gonna be test fitting the Inno Aero Light, two bike rack, part number INH620. As you can see, it can carry up to two bikes. And we're going to start looking from the outside in and show off some of the features of this.First off, you're going to see this locking point here, and that's going to be utilized with our integrated cable lock that stores in our side mast here, to pull it up and wrap it around the bikes and attach it to this point here, and lock it into place with the lock here. And it does come with two keys for this, and then your bikes will be secured once they're installed.Moving on to the cradles, these can be moved back and forth or side to side as needed to accommodate different styles of bikes, but also to help out with loading and bike spacing. Where you bike sits, there's gonna be three points of contact. We're gonna have two straps up at the top, and then one off to the side, and that's gonna be anti-sway cradle to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth and causing bike-to-bike contact. more

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be testing the Swagman Quad 2+2 two-bike and four-bike platform-style rack. Now, it's going to be part number S64692. As you can see, we already have a bike installed, so let's take a look at some of the features.Now, the first one I want to point out is that you see we have this set up for a four-bike set up. But if we come down here, we can loosen the bolt and remove it. From there, we can pull off this two-bike extension, shortening it to a two-bike rack rather than a four. So, just for those where you don't feel like taking all four bikes out, you can miniaturize it down to a two-bike rack.If we come and look at these cradles, we're going to see that they don't pivot back and forth. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2013 Dodge Charger we're going to be test fitting the Rocky Mount Solo One Bike Platform Rack for 1 1/4" and 2" hitches, part number RKY10007. We already have our bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look here and show off some of the features. What sets this apart from the other One Bike Platform Racks is this can actually tilt away from the vehicle to gain better access to your trunk. The others either just fold up against the vehicle or are pretty much stationary the entire time.We do have this in 1 1/4" right now, and I would like to emphasize with the one bike version, this can work with both Class One and Class Two hitches. However, if you we're to purchase the extension piece that adds an additional bike, this will only work with Class Two, 1 1/4" hitches.Now, to tilt this away from the vehicle, we'll come to the latch here at the front and pull that towards us, and holding onto the bike rack we'll come away. more

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2017 Dodge Journey, we're doing a test-fit of the Thule Double Track Pro Platform-Style 2-Bike Rack, that part number is: TH9054.Now, we already have our bike secured down, we're first going to show you how we secure it in place. At the back and front tire, we're going to have cam-buckle straps. We'll just push on the cam on the side closest to our vehicle and pull those through. You'll notice we do have extra long straps, these are going to be great for fat tire bikes as wells as mountain bikes and road bikes, like we have here.Now, in the center, we're going to have a clamp. This is going to be different from any of those frame hooks or wheel hooks that you see. This is going to grab around the frame of our bike. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Dodge Durango- Video
Today on our 2017 Dodge Durango we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Rack, part number: S64683. Now we're all been in that situation where we just got done riding our bikes, or going ready to ride our bikes, and we need to get in the back of our hatch. That's the one feature I really like about this bike rack is if we come to this lever right here, we can lift up and our bike rack will actually tilt away from our vehicle, and then we can have full access to get anything in or out of our rear hatch that we may need. And then when we're done we can simply close our hatch and then rotate the bike rack back up, and it'll lock into position. We're gonna have three points of contact. We're gonna have a frame hook up top here, and then one strap on each one of our wheels. Now the way the straps are gonna come undone, if we come to the back side there's gonna be a lever, you can push on it and that's gonna release the ratcheting mechanism, and then you just pull the strap out. more

Now we already have our bike secured down, so we're first going to show you how we show you how we secure it in place. We've got three straps altogether, two on our frame, one as our anti-sway strap in the back. Now it's going to prevent our bikes from swinging back and forth and possibly coming entangled with each other. We're just pulling and lifting up on those. more

We're first going to show you how we secure it in place. We have three straps altogether, two over our frame and one as our anti-sway strap in the back. That's going to keep our bike from swinging too far back and forth and entangling with the other bikes. We'll pull down and lift up to release that. more

Today on our 2010 Dodge Journey, we're going to be test fitting a Yakima HoldUp 2 bike rack. Now, one of the really nice features of this bike rack is that it does tilt away and gives you access to the hatch without having to remove the bike. Pull out on this knob, and it tilts down. You'll still have plenty of room to get anything in or out of the hatch. Now, to show you how it goes back up, you just lift up on the bike rack until it locks into place. Now, you have two mounting points where it secures the bike to the bike rack. You have a wheel strap back here. more

Thule Hitching-Post-Pro Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2010 Dodge Journey- Video
Today on our 2010 Dodge Journey we're going to be test fitting a Thule Hitching Post Pro for a bike rack. We already have our bike secured to the bike rack and it has three mounting points. One on the vertical post to keep from swaying, and two on the top on the frame. These straps are coated in rubber so you don't have to worry about any scratching or abrasion on your bike. Which undo the straps, and the bike will come right off. Now let's take a quick few measurements and see what kind of dimensions this is going to be adding to our vehicle. more
